Hi, I’m Colter Siems. I’m in the Pinedale Livestock 4-H. I’m a senior member and I’m going to be showing my steer, Ollie in the Sublette County Fair and Jr. Livestock Sale. I will be helping at the Buyer’s Luncheon, be sure to come by! My other projects include being a Jr. Leader, my cow/calf Annie & Andy, as well as some static exhibits. In my spare time I like helping on my family’s ranch and playing with my younger brother. Thanks for supporting 4-H!
*** I want to let you know a little more about the sale on July 25, 2026 @ 1:30:
You can request to split an animal between buyers; the cost can be divided also.
Transportation is already arranged for whichever processor you choose.
If you’re not after an animal, but still want to support Sublette youth, I’d like to share a little about the add-on option at the fair. You can specify a set dollar amount or a % of the sale price on an animal for a 4-H or FFA member, a group, or everyone who participates in the Jr. Livestock Sale. All contributions are tax deductible!
***If you get the chance, come to one of the livestock shows, you’ll see me showing my stock Wednesday, July 22 @ 5:30 pm, Thursday, July 23 @ 5:00 pm, Friday, July 24 @ 9:00 am, and on Saturday, July 25 @ 9:00 am. See you at the fair!
Ollie is my newest steer. I think this every year, but I want to say he’s my best steer ever. He’s definitely the friendliest and I am working with him on showing almost every day. Wish us luck at this year’s fair.
Annie & Andy-Annie had Andy in April, he’s doing excellent. I’m looking forward to showing them both at the fair.
Frank was probably my best steer yet; he came in 1st in the Ultrasound competition where I earned a belt buckle. Thank you to SOS for purchasing Frank, I hope you enjoyed him!
Annie was my first heifer; she taught me it’s a little different than raising a steer. She will be coming back to the fair next year with her calf.
Major came from my mom & dad’s cow who died giving birth to him. He was in the house and tried to go into their room! Thank you to Pure West for buying Major.
Unfortunately, Casey died in April of heart failure. I wasn’t able to show him at fair, but I made a poster that won grand champion! I learned the importance of PAP tests to determine an animals susceptibility to the disease.
Bruno was a bit of a baby, a 1300 lb baby! When you’re working with such a large animal it’s essential to work with them early and often. Thank you to NAPA for being a repeat buyer!
Hank taught me that no two steers are alike. He was pretty challenging to work with, but I got through the project earning 7th place in the Ultrasound and enjoyed everything but getting kicked. Thank you to Angry Irish Repair for buying Hank.
Buzz was my first steer. He was a good beginner’s steer and taught me a lot. Thank you to NAPA for buying him.
